Geordie Shore's Holly Hagan jumps on the waist trainer bandwagon as she displays her hourglass figure in Instagram selfies

Her hourglass shape has become more streamlined over the last few months, and now Holly Hagan has a new trick up her sleeve.

Or rather, round her middle as she posted a selfie of herself wearing a waist training corset on Saturday.

It seems the Geordie Shore star has become a fan of the fad championed by the likes of Kim Kardashain and Lindsay Lohan.

'Wearing my waist trainer from @waistedbykeke thank you so much it's come all the way over from the U.S! Can't wait to start seeing results,' she captioned the Instagram shot.

Actresses Brooke Burke-Charvet and Jessica Alba have also been known to use waist-training products in the past, with the Sin City star saying she got back to her pre-baby size using a corset. 

Though many fitness experts explain that waist trainers do not eliminate fat, rather compress it towards another area of the body, and only offer a temporary solution. Diet and exercise is key for lasting results.

Since dropping to a size 8 from a size 16, Holly has been filling up her social media channels with flattering selfies of her new body.

And much to the delight of her loyal male and female fans, the 22-year-old often posts sexy bikini and lingerie snap.

Now that she is more of petite size its surprising that Hagn is bringing out a plus size collection of shapewear.

She captioned an image of her wearing some items saying: ‘So proud to announce my #plussize collection with @lasulaboutique.

‘It all starts here with sexy Shape Wear with more to come in April going to size 28 in dresses - I've been working hard in this! I've been a size 16 before & now I can squeeze into a size 8 dress - it really doesn't matter what size or shape you are, I've been most of them before!'

Holly has been showing off the results of her strict weight loss regime almost daily on her Instagram after shedding three stone over the past four years.

The Geordie Shore star admitted that her decision to shape up had a lot to do with Twitter where she found herself routinely subjected to vile taunts about her weight.

Holly told MailOnline: ‘I don’t want to say it's because of Twitter, but with all the comments I was getting, 90 percent of them were about my weight and were commenting on how I was fat, or how I was ugly.

‘It upset me at the time and did inspire me to lose it. I just wanted to work a bit harder but also to be a lot healthier because I couldn’t run up the stairs. It's been a four year journey for me.
